This is a space where me and my sobrinos (nieces and nephews) can talk about the magical world of books. Hooray for books! Besides the fun of sharing what we are reading and commenting on each other's posts, there is another good reason to be a part of the blog: every time you read a certain amount of hours (based on your age), Tío Jon will send you a book of your choice!
- pre-K to 3rd > 25 hours
- 4th to 8th > 40 hours
- 9th to 12th > 50 hours
In order to get the free book, you have to blog about what you read and what you thought about it. Consider these questions (and any others) as you post:
- What's the book about?
- Did you like it? Why or why not?
- What did you like/not like about it?
- What was your favorite part and why?
- Who was your favorite character and why?
- Did the book remind you of any other book you've read?
Each sobrino (or parent) will have author rights on the blog. This will allow you to make posts and modify some of the content. Each family also has their own tab across the top (page) so you can customize a page to include anything you want (e.g., what you are reading right now).
